I bought the DC 24 to replace a small vacuum and it was my first purchase Dyson (although I have regularly used in the past). I do not recommend this vacuum to replace a large dedicated vertical. Dyson uses "airwatts" to specify the power of the voids and the DC 24 has 115 airwatts vs. 220 watts for DC 25 and DC 15.
